Brock mourns passing of Indigenous Educational Studies Instructor – The Brock News

The Brock community is mourning the loss of Margaret (Marg) Raynor, a Faculty of Education Instructor remembered for her dedication to advancing Indigenous education at the University. She passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
Raynor’s teaching journey with Brock began in 1999. She played a key role in developing the Indigenous Teacher Education program, conducting years of research and needs assessments while building connections in Indigenous communities.
When Brock’s Indigenous Bachelor of Education Primary/Junior program launched in 2007, Raynor served for many years as both Program Co-ordinator and Instructor in foundational courses.
