Carney’s Senate representative doesn’t expect major changes to independent appointment process – iPolitics

In this edition, we talked with Sen. Pierre Moreau, a longtime Quebec MNA, who was appointed as Prime Minister Mark Carney’s representative in the Senate earlier this year. Moreau spoke about transitioning from an elected official to an appointed senator, as well as his expectation that Carney will keep the Senate’s independence reforms introduced by Justin Trudeau.
