Brampton youth with a passion for the arts can learn more about future career opportunities through the Heartbeats in Performing Arts internship and co-op program.
With a paid internship for post-secondary students and high-school co-op placements, the Heartbeats in Performing Arts internship and co-op program gives Indigenous and Black youth opportunities to explore a career in the arts.
The city says the internship program will connect a student to one paid internship spot beginning in February 2024, with eligibility for Black and Indigenous students who are currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution.
The high school co-op program will be a hybrid virtual and in-person placement with the City of Brampton for the 2024 Winter/Spring semester with four co-op spots available. The program is open to Black and Indigenous students in grades 11 and 12 in the Peel Region, GTA and surrounding school boards.
