Playwright and director Corey Payette talks about their new Indigenous musical ‘Les Filles du Roi’. Premiering in Canada at the 2023 Vancouver International Film Festival, the film follows the friendship between a French settler and a Mohawk brother/sister duo in the 1600’s.

Full of both heart and beautiful musical arrangements, the film starts a conversation about what could have been, and the power of friendship.
