‘Now is not the time to make assumptions or hurtful comments about COVID-19 in Arviat,’ Savikataaq says
Arviat has four new cases of COVID-19, the Government of Nunavut announced Friday.
With one new recovery, that leaves the territory with 17 active cases, all in Arviat.
Premier Joe Savikataaq urged Nunavummiut to be supportive of Arviat residents who remain under lockdown.
“Now is not the time to make assumptions or hurtful comments about COVID-19 in Arviat,” he said in a news release.
