The month of November is generally associated with the social economy. To highlight this, the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Economic Development Commission (FNQLEDC) team would like to introduce you to a start-up whose mission and values are perfectly aligned with this month’s themes: Ilnu Division Formation.
The origins of Ilnu Division Formation
Ilnu Division Formation is a start-up social economy enterprise that focuses on the social and professional reintegration of Indigenous people in situations of social vulnerability. Newly founded, Ilnu Division Formation is the sister company of Ilnu TransForme, a company located in Mashteuiatsh that recovers pallets and sells new and used pallets.
Initially, Ilnu TransForme offered reintegration services within its company. Indeed, for 8 years now, Ilnu TransForme has been hiring people who are isolated from the job market to carry out the company’s operations.
