‘As the generations go on, we all require different things,’ says one young chief

At 26 years old, West Point First Nation Chief Devon Felker is passionate about getting more young people involved in leadership.

He was among the younger attendees at last week’s Dene National Assembly in Fort Good Hope, N.W.T., and while there he urged other young people who were interested in leadership to reach out to him.

On top of being chief of his First Nation, Felker is also part of the Dehcho Youth Energy Action Council, which tries to get more young people involved with clean energy technology and leadership.
