Finding a way to support survivors – Sault Star

Amanda Pope and Sheila Girard of Y&S Incorporated were concerned when they began reading about the residential schools and the lasting trauma from the years of manipulation, torture and secrets. So, they decided that they wanted to be a part of moving forward and helping survivors.

Two years ago they decided to donate part of the proceeds of their Orange Day t-shirts to the Indian Residential School Survivors Society.
