First Nation lets land to farmers – Vancouver Sun

The Tsawwassen First Nation has signed leases with three farmers to keep farmland owned by the band under crops for 25 years. Under the terms of the lease arrangements, the farmers – Peter Guichon, Brent Harris and Danny Chong – are to improve the soil and drainage of the lands under their stewardship for agricultural purposes, improve habitat for wildlife and mentor future generations of farmers from among the band membership.
