Herrera ‘worked tirelessly to advance First Nations’ inherent and Treaty rights’
Susan Bobbi Herrera, the former chief executive officer of the Confederacy of Treaty Six Nations and Maskwacis resident, has passed away.
“On behalf of the Assembly of First Nations, we extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and community of Susan Bobbi Herrera, known to many as Bobbi,” said National Chief Cindy Woodhouse Nepinak in a statement on Feb. 5.
“She was a dedicated advocate for First Nations at both regional and national levels, making significant contributions to the well-being and advancement of many communities.”
