Strike could start as early as Tuesday next week if deal not reached

Workers at the Fort Simpson, N.W.T. Housing Authority are preparing to strike.

A news release from the Union of Northern Workers says housing authority workers could strike as early as Tuesday if the union and Housing N.W.T. don’t reach a deal this week.

Staff with the Fort Simpson Housing authority serve clients from Fort Simpson as well as Jean Marie River, Nahanni Butte, Sambaa K’e and Wrigely.
