Health officials have not disclosed exact number of COVID-19 cases

The continuing care centre in Gjoa Haven is temporarily closed to visitors after recent confirmed cases of COVID-19 at the centre.
The closure is a precautionary measure to limit the spread of the virus and protect vulnerable residents, particularly elders, the Department of Health said in a public health advisory issued Saturday.
A spokesperson for the department did not respond Monday to Nunatsiaq News’ requests to know how many confirmed cases there are in Gjoa Haven.
