Press Release
(Kahnawake – 8, Seskéha/August 2023) The Kahnawà:ke Environment Protection Office (KEPO) wishes to thank the Community
for their support and interest in the Tekakwitha Island and Bay Restoration Project Grand Opening activities.
In late July, project tours were offered to community members to showcase the new features added to the Island and Bay and explain
their benefits to the ecosystem. A media event also took place to thank project sponsors and contributors.
“Both events were very successful, and it has been very nice for us to hear positive feedback from the community about the work that has
been done,” said Patrick Ragaz, General Manager of Field Science. “We are also open to conducting additional tours on-demand if there is
sufficient interest from the community.”
For more information or to express interest in a tour, please contact KEPO at 450-635-0600 or email environmentprotection@mck.ca. To
