Indigenous ceremony at Alexandria Hospital – The Review Newspaper

Glengarry Memorial Hospital in Alexandria and the Native North American Travelling College hosted a ceremony to promote truth and reconciliation, cultural exchange, and community healing at the hospital on Tuesday, September 17.

Attendees were able to participate in smudging, learn traditional social dances, and other cultural traditions. North Glengarry Mayor and Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry Warden Jamie MacDonald attended along with students from École élémentaire publique Terre des Jeunes.

The National Day of Truth and Reconciliation is Monday, September 30.
