In 2021, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, along with We Exchange Income Corporation, and several indigenous organizations, announced a partnership to honor Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation to recognize Indigenous people who vvere impacted by Residential Schools. Kivallio Inuit Association is pleased to announce that the partnership for the 2023 football season will be continued.
In partnership with Calm Air, KIA will be selecting names of those residing in Anziat, Baker Lake, Chesterfield Inlet, Coral Harbour. Naujeat, Rankin net and Whale Cove and Sanikiluao. 10 tickets are provided per community for the Winnipeg Blue Bomber’s home game against the Toronto Argonauts on P riday, September 29, 2023, at 200 P.M. KIA and Calm Air would like to have more children representing the Kivallio for this event We will be looking for 1 chaperone for every two children selected to attend the event.

An application form will be posted on the KIA website at wwv.kivallioinuitca for those who wish to apply online. The Community Liaison Officer’s (CLO) in each Kieaiiiq community will have a copy of the application as well. Please note there is an age limit for this event for ages 10 years and up. For the purpose of having a safe travel experience for children between the ages of 10-12 that get selected will have a chaperone automatically selected to travel as well: which will count towards the 10 available slots per community. Maximum 2 minors per chaperone. Any adult who enters their name for consideration must understand that they will be asked to chaperone children.
Deadline to submit your application is July 15th, 2025 at 1159 P.M CST.
