A First World War medal belonging to a Rama veteran has already been returned to the community, with more to come
A century-old medal, quill boxes crafted by hands that likely never imagined the legacy they leave, and clay pottery still etched with the soot of fires that burned many lifetimes ago.
Those are among the more than 100 items once held by the Orillia Museum of Art and History that are making their way back to Rama First Nation as part of the first formal repatriation agreement the community has ever reached with a museum.
