This report captures information gleaned from employers on the skills and occupations in demand in Northern Ontario, Yukon, and Nunavut. It also captures the challenges to sourcing labour locally as well as strategies for closing the skill gaps.

This Learning From One Another report builds on previous reports, identifying the occupations and skills most in demand across three regions: Northern Ontario, Yukon, and Nunavut.

Which skills and occupations are most in demand across the three regions? What are the roadblocks to expanding labour pools in these regions? How can high schools and post-secondary institutions help students in these regions gain in-demand skills? What role can employers, Indigenous communities, and governments play to help get training into Northern, rural, and remote communities? And what is needed to support employers looking to attract skilled workers to the region?
