Local students win big at Indigenous Games – Sarnia

A few young athletes have returned home with some hardware after competing at the North American Indigenous Games, recently held in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The games were held from July 15 until July 22.

Aamjiwnaang First Nation congratulated 14-year-old Julius Sinopole after he and Team Ontario won gold in Box Lacrosse, in the U16 men’s division.

Ontario’s 19U men’s team also won gold in Box Lacrosse.

Kettle & Stony Point First Nation highlighted 17-year-old Devynn Manning, who won bronze in Wrestling in the 58 kilogram female division.
