Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew Releases Additional Ministerial Mandate Letters

Today, Premier Wab Kinew released eight mandate letters that were provided to newly sworn-in members of the executive council, outlining the immediate priorities and key commitments of their ministries, as they work together to strengthen Manitoba’s economy.
“Manitobans have given us a mandate to grow our economy with good family-supporting jobs and a balanced budget,” said Kinew. “These eight mandate letters lay out the path to a stronger economy with better health care and social services. I have directed each of the ministers to work together to build a healthy and prosperous future for our province.”
Each mandate letter provides a strong foundation and clear directives to support ministers as they work collaboratively with the public service, Indigenous governments, organizations and communities, and stakeholders throughout the province to strengthen Manitoba’s economy, the premier noted.
The mandate letters released today were presented to:
- Agriculture Minister Ron Kostyshyn;
- Education and Early Childhood Learning Minister Nello Altomare;
- Indigenous Economic Development Minister Ian Bushie;
- Economic Development, Investment, Trade and Natural Resources Minister Jamie Moses;
- Transportation and Infrastructure Minister and Consumer Protection and Government Services Minister Lisa Naylor;
- Finance Minister Adrien Sala, minister responsible for Manitoba Hydro, minister responsible for Public Utilities Board, minister responsible for Manitoba Public Service;
- Advanced Education and Training Minister Renée Cable; and
- Sport, Culture, Heritage and Tourism Minister Glen Simard, minister responsible for francophone affairs, minister responsible for Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Corporation.
Mandate letters for the remaining cabinet portfolios will be released later this week.
