MCK meet with Quebec Ministers

(Kahnawake – 21, Ohiarihkó:wa/July 2023) The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to advise the community that a meeting took place today with Ministers Ian Lafrenière (Responsible for Relations with the First Nations and the Inuit), Eric Girard (Minister of Finance), and accompanying representatives from Québec.

Ohén:ton Í:iente ne Ratitsénhaienhs (Grand Chief) Kahsennenhawe Sky Deer, Nitsénhaienhs Tonya Perron, Michael Delisle Jr., and Chief Political Advisor Winona Polson-Lahache participated in the meeting.

While no formal agenda was set, discussions were centered on Intergovernmental Relations

The meeting was held at the offices of the MCK.
