The men’s committee based in Rankin Inlet has introduced a variety of programs to the community, including connecting some Inuit youth to valuable traditional skills.
Program co-ordinator Noel Kaludjak said the committee has been running for three years and, this fall, it decided to apply to the Kivalliq Inuit Association for funding to run on-the-land programming.
Kaludjak said the group also wants to teach young men how to set and check fishing nets properly.
