MNBC Launches New Citizenship Card

The Ministry of Citizenship has worked diligently to modernize the Citizenship Registry over the past two years. With the invaluable input and support of the Métis Chartered Communities, we have developed a new data collection and information management system, launched the MétisHub, and created a new Citizenship application. Now, we are pleased to introduce the new MNBC Citizenship Card!

This updated card includes information and security features that align it with provincial and federal ID. It also incorporates cultural elements. Learn more by watching the video below.

New Citizens and Citizens with pending renewals will receive a hard copy of the new Citizenship Card. Citizens whose cards have not yet expired can go on the MétisHub and view a digital copy. When your current card expires, you will receive a hard copy of the new card.
