The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) is proud to announce the return of the Métis Babysitters Club Program for 2025 — a unique and enriching opportunity for Métis youth to gain valuable life and career skills while connecting with their culture.
This program is designed to support Métis youth who are interested in part-time babysitting by offering career readiness training, cultural activities, and certification opportunities. Open to students in Grades 7–10 (as of September 2025), the program provides a well-rounded foundation for safe, confident, and culturally grounded caregiving.
What’s Included in the Program?
Participants will enroll in a multi-part training program that covers:
Upon successful completion of the course, each participant will receive a Certificate of Completion from the MNO’s Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) team.
Program Sessions
The majority of the program is self-directed, with virtual check-ins and info sessions.

Please fill out an application with your youth — and if you have more than one child interested, be sure to submit a separate application for each.
