MNP Honoured As One of the Best Employers In Canada
Accounting, consulting and tax firm receives top honours for the sixth year in a row.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NOVEMBER 15, 2013, CALGARY, AB–MNP LLP (MNP) has been recognized as one of the Best Employers in Canada for the sixth consecutive year. Announced by AON Hewitt, the award recognizes Canadian organizations that have created an exemplary workplace environment.
“It’s truly an honour to continually have our firm recognized as an ideal employer,” said Bob Twerdun, Senior Vice President of Human Capital at MNP. “We are always surveying and acting on our employees’ suggestions to improve the MNP work environment. This award shows that through our commitment to our people, we continue to stand apart.”
“One of the reasons MNP continues to be recognizes is our commitment to the next generation, along with the opportunities we provide for mentorship. A great example is our current five-year strategy to attract new Aboriginal team members,” says Clayton Norris, Vice President, Aboriginal Services. “Our practitioners will be traveling throughout Canada to speak at Aboriginal high schools. During the sessions, students will learn about potential career opportunities in accounting, finance and consulting and the importance of finding an employer that cares about its employees and their unique needs.”
The Best Employers in Canada list is determined by three separate surveys administered by Aon Hewitt, a leading global HR outsourcing and consulting firm. The results are determined primarily through employee survey responses. Another survey looks at whether the firm’s goals and values are aligned with opinions of team members, while a final survey assesses human resources practices and policies.
