New Victoria Park mural inspired by Indigenous history – The Spec

Local muralists submitted ideas to the City of Hamilton; a migration-themed sketch by Andrea Manica was selected

Andrea Manica’s latest project is all about migration.

The OCAD University graduate, who recently moved to Hamilton, thought it was an appropriate theme for the field house at Victoria Park. The building, near the corner of King Street West and Strathcona Avenue, is located along a historical footpath used by Indigenous people moving through the area.

In the spring, the City of Hamilton reached out to local muralists to submit ideas for the field house.
