Re: First Nations Child and Family Caring Society et al. v. Attorney General of Canada

The Panel has considered the parties’ comments concerning the motion schedule. Given that, there is no preliminary motion before the Tribunal at this time, the Tribunal directs the following schedule:
NAN Affidavits: Friday, February 23 (6 weeks after CS affidavit)
AFN and Canada Affidavits (and any cross-motions): Friday, March 15, 2024, (9 weeks after CS affidavit).
Supplemental Canada and AFN Affidavits by: Thursday, March 21, 2024 (see note below).
Any Caring Society Reply Affidavit: Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
In Person Cross-examinations in Ottawa: April 2-3 and 5th, 2024.
Answers to requests for information: complete by Friday, April 12, 2024.
Caring Society factum: Friday, April 19, 2024, (1 week after record complete).
Commission factum (and any of AFN/COO/NAN supporting): Friday, May 10, 2024, (3 weeks after CS factum).
Canada factum (and any of AFN/COO/NAN opposing): Friday, May 24, 2024, (5 weeks after CS factum).
IN PERSON hearing in Ottawa (i.e. building in minimum Panel review time): June 3 and 4, 2024,
work best for the Panel members. Given the potential questions from the Tribunal, it may be wise to reserve two days in case we need more time.
