Ovide Mercredi joins U of M as advisor; U of W, Nunavut Arctic College sign agreement

It’s been a busy morning for our local universities.

University of Manitoba has announced that aboriginal leader Ovide Mercredi will be a senior advisor as the university develops strategies to improve indigenous achievement.

And U of M has become the latest school to offer financial assistance to potential students who have grown up in care — helping as many as 10 students a year.
