What’s happening on and off the Hill today, plus the news you need to start your day.
After pitching his ‘Axe the Tax’ message to the “400 common sense Canadians” who showed up at an evening event in Fort Frances, Ont. last night, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is booked in for a mid-afternoon appearance in Wawa, Ont., where, according to the party website, he’ll hit the stage at the local Royal Canadian Legion hall (2:15 p.m.) before hitting the highway to Hearst, Ont., to cap off the second night of his Northern Ontario mini-tour by headlining another ‘Axe The Tax’ rally — this time, at the Heritage Sawmill. (6 p.m.)
Meanwhile, Green Party Leader Elizabeth May makes the rounds of her home riding of Saanich – Gulf Islands, where, according to her office, she plans to attend a “town hall meeting on rising rents at Amica Beechwood Village.” (2 p.m. PT)
