Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Preschool Director to lead our preschool program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of Indigenous culture and values.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the preschool, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that reflects Indigenous culture and community values.
- Supervise and support teaching staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and the community.
- Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and best practices in early childhood education.
- Manage budget and resources effectively to ensure program sustainability.
- Foster an inclusive environment that respects and celebrates diversity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of child development theories and practices.
- Familiarity with Indigenous culture and commitment to incorporating it into the curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and community partners.
