Out-of-town performers bring ‘drag arts’ to a young audience

The Pride 2024 Annual Rally and Parade took place Saturday, Sept. 14 under a hot late summer sun in Hollinger Park and downtown Timmins.

Fierté Timmins Pride President Julie DeMarchi explained in a heartfelt speech what Pride means to her, her community and allies.

“From the flag-raising to today’s rally, we’ve shown that Pride is not just about the colours of the rainbow. It’s about the strength of our community, the power of our voices, and the love and respect that we have for one another,” she said.
