Reb Rédaction: a dream come true thanks to the IWESP – First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Economic Development Commission

March 4, 2025

Since its launch, the Indigenous Women Entrepreneurship Support Program (IWESP) has helped many First Nations women in Quebec to realize their business ambitions.

This program, which is offered by the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Economic Development Commission (FNQLEDC) and financially supported by Hydro-Québec, provides professional coaching and financial support to foster the emergence and development of entrepreneurial projects. Entrepreneurs can apply for the following three components:

  • Professional fees: facilitates access to professional resources as part of an existing or start-up business project.
  • Website: support in creating a website, developing an existing site or implementing a transactional platform.
  • Place of business: financial support for the purposes of gaining access to suitable premises to operate a business.

Today, we present the inspiring story of Rebecca Savard, founder of Reb Rédaction, who transformed her passion for writing into a thriving business by submitting her application to the Website component of the IWESP.
