The Region of Waterloo seeks submissions from Indigenous artists for three large-scale murals to be displayed in the Domestic Arrivals Building at Region of Waterloo International Airport.
The region continues its efforts to honour the cultural heritage and history of Indigenous communities, emphasizing the significance of lands and waterways. The artwork will be prominently featured.
Artists from Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Urban Indigenous communities can apply. Three artists will be selected by a jury group from their respective communities.
