Search For Missing Southend Man Continues

(Prince Albert, Sask.) – Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation (PBCN) and Prince Albert Grand Council’s Search, Rescue & Recovery (PAGC-SSR) is calling on the public for assistance in locating Dilbert Thomas, a 62-year-old man from Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation’s (PBCN) community of Southend, who has been missing since March 29, 2025 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

“We are deeply concerned for the safety and well-being of Mr. Thomas,” said PBCN Councillor Jeremy Morin of Southend. “He is a respected member of our community, and our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. We are asking anyone who may have seen him or has information to come forward. Even the smallest detail could help bring him home.”

Thomas was last seen near South Hill Lodge on 2nd Avenue in Prince Albert, in the vicinity of a fuel station and bus stop. His vehicle and phone have since been located, but his whereabouts remain unknown.

Thomas is described as having a medium build, standing 5’8” and weighing 210 lbs. He has dark brown eyes, black hair, and a goatee. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a black and blue ball cap, Carhartt black jacket layered with a black Levi jacket, blue joggers, long white socks, black shoes, and prescribed black glasses.

The PAGC-SSR team, an officially recognized SARSAV unit, has been deployed to support the ongoing efforts in coordination with the Prince Albert Police Service.
