Service Reduction at Kugaaruk Family Wellness Office

The Department of Family Services is advising residents of Kugaaruk that the Department’s Wellness office which provides social services is experiencing a reduction in service delivery effective immediately until September 4, 2024, due to staff shortages. This may affect families and children needing access to services.

Service reductions are subject to change based on staff availability. Services are expected to resume fill capacity on September 4, 2024.

For emergencies, contact an on-call Community Social Worker at 867-222-9465. Assistance will be provided remotely from Taloyoak via an on-call service.

The Department of Family Services is working with partners to ensure Nunavummiut have access to necessary services while addressing staff shortages.
