Officers with the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service are searching for a male suspect

Members of the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service’s Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding a shooting incident that occurred in Brunswick House First Nation in the afternoon on Sunday, Oct. 12.

A precautionary shelter-in-place advisory for the community of Brunswick House First Nation was announced as a result of this ongoing investigation, a news release said.

NAPS confirmed that school buses for Brunswick House First Nation students were cancelled for Tuesday, Oct. 14, as a shelter-in-place advisory remains active for the community.
