Calgary, AB – October 25, 2023 – Mr. Trent Fequet, the visionary founder of Steel River Group Ltd., an Indigenous-owned consulting, staffing & diversified management entity, today announced the appointment of TJ Galiardi as President of Steel River Group.
Mr. Fequet remarked, “TJ Galiardi’s unwavering commitment to continual improvement and excellence makes him the perfect choice to lead our team into the future. His hands-on involvement and leadership in these critical endeavours has been invaluable.”
TJ Galiardi, an accomplished professional who has been an integral part of Steel River Group since early 2022, most recently served as the Chief Development Officer. With over 15 years of experience in the real estate industry, where he has excelled as an investor and developer, TJ brings a wealth of knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit to his new role. In 2017, following his successful career in professional hockey, TJ co-founded Outcast Foods, a pioneering food-technology company with a mission to repurpose and upcycle produce from waste streams. After steering Outcast Foods through its Series A fundraising phase, TJ joined Steel River Group.

In addition to the appointment of TJ Galiardi, Steel River Group announced several key appointments within the organization. Peter Timmins, who has been an integral part of Steel River Group for five years in various executive positions, now assumes the role of Chief Administrative Officer. Mike Meaney, previously the Executive Vice President, Operations, and Major Projects, takes over as Chief Operating Officer, bringing his vast expertise to this crucial role. Terri Shaddick, who joined Steel River Group in May 2023, continues in her role as Chief Financial Officer.
