Things to do in in Sudbury, Nov. 23 to Nov. 25 – The Sudbury Star

Santa Claus parade: Begins at 5:30 p.m. sharp on Saturday. It will wind its way through the downtown core of the city. It begins at the intersection of Notre Dame Avenue and St. Anne’s Road and concludes on Notre Dame and Ste Anne’s. For more information, go to sudburyevents.com/e/santa-claus-parade.

Art: The Art & Soul Gallery, 4 Baker St., in the downtown, presents featured artist Gigi Dequanne as part of an art show and exhibit. Opening reception is 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 23. To meet the artist, send an email to images.reveries@gmail.com to make arrangements. The gallery is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon-4 p.m. Runs until Dec. 1.

Education: Go Eng Girl at Laurentian University 2024, Nov. 23, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Laurentian University. Event was designed to teach girls/non-binary youth in Grades 7 to 10 what engineering is all about; allevents.in/sudbury/100001015370680037.

Health: Nov. 23 is International Day for People Impacted by Suicide Loss, also known as Survivors Day. On this day, people impacted by suicide loss will come together to foster community, to remember loved ones, and to share stories of loss, healing, and hope. Suicide Safer Network Sudbury/Manitoulin will be offering FREE training sessions for safeTALK and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Trainings.
