Trudeau headlines evening fundraiser in Vancouver as Poilievre, Singh hit the hustings in Quebec – iPolitics

After wrapping up the fall supply cycle earlier this week, MPs are set to circle back to the Conservative-initiated privilege complaint that has preempted virtually all regular House of Commons proceedings since the second week of the sitting — and, barring a last-minute cross-aisle deal to force a vote on whether to send it to committee for further review, is now on track to continue until the chamber shuts down for the season next week, and pick up where it left off when it reopens for business in January.

For his part, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will not be in his front-and-centre seat for question period this afternoon, according to his itinerary, but will instead jet to Vancouver to join Emergency Preparedness Minister Harjit Sajjan at a fundraiser this evening, with ticket prices set at $1,000. (6 p.m. PT)
