Indigenous communities are disproportionately affected by lack of housing, issues related to on-reserve water, remote health care, and more.
The Bloc Québécois firmly believes that the issue of access to housing and drinking water for Indigenous nations requires immediate action by the federal government. We will, therefore, continue to advocate for a more equitable and respectful approach for Indigenous communities, emphasizing the need for increased investment and genuine recognition of their right to self-determination. Over the past few decades, many speeches paved with good intentions, studies, and promises have been made. From now on, the government has a duty to act quickly.
