With regular parliamentary proceedings now officially on hold until the end of January, there’s no word yet on any planned public appearances by any party leaders — including Prime Minister Mark Carney, whose office hasn’t yet released his itinerary for today.
Yesterday afternoon, he attended a Hanukkah menorah lighting ceremony at Ottawa City Hall, where, as the Ottawa Citizen reports, he “reaffirmed his commitment to fighting antisemitism across the country” in the wake of the deadly weekend attack in Australia.
