In a panel discussion hosted by MacEwan University in Edmonton on Sept. 25, Tom Snow of the Stoney Indian Reserve, Colleen Hele-Cardinal from Saddle Lake Cree Nation, Elaine Kicknosway of Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation, and Katrina Koe who was raised between the territories of Treaty 11 and Treaty 6, all spoke about the impact false indigeneity has on the indigenous experience and community.
