2026 Notice of Candidates – Makivvik Universal Elections

This is to inform the public in all the communities of Nunavik that the Call for Nominations was closed as of 5:00 P.M. on January 7th, 2026, for the positions of Vice President, Environment, Wildlife, and Research and Treasurer.

The candidates for the 2026 universal elections as are follows.:

Vice President, Environment, Wildlife and Research

Adamie Delisle Alaku elected by acclamation.

Treasurer

Jason Annahatak

George Berthe

Jonathan Epoo

Andy Pirti

The Election for all communities is Thursday, February 5th, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Advanced Polls will be on Thursday, January 29th, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Eligible voters will have the opportunity to either vote online or in-person.
