As the province prepares to accept Syrian refugees, a six month pilot project in Prince Albert, Sask. is hoping to eliminate cross-cultural fears.
Research out of the University of Saskatchewan found a rift between aboriginal peoples and immigrants. The Common Ground Project hopes to mend that cultural gap.
“It’s easy to discriminate against someone you don’t know,” said Karen Cay, the coordinator for the Common Ground Project.
