The first Aboriginal judge ever appointed in Manitoba, Murray Sinclair served as chair of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Shelagh Rogers was an honorary witness at Truth and Reconciliation Commission events, where she observed Sinclair and his fellow commissioners as they received heartbreaking testimony from residential school survivors.
Murray Sinclair was recently appointed to Canada’s Senate. A conversation between Sinclair and Shelagh Rogers is the concluding piece in a new book entitled In This Together: Fifteen Stories of Truth and Reconciliation. We hear part of that conversation this week on The Next Chapter.
