Update: Lock Out of Administration Offices – Community Meeting

Dear shíshálh Nation members,

The Chief and Council have been making best efforts to resolve the lock out of the Administration offices. This conflict has caused considerable strife within the community and impacted many members as we are unable to provide community services.

Chief and Council made two efforts to facilitate a meeting with the group, and was met with continued lateral violence.

Chief and Council are hosting a community meeting Monday May 9th at the longhouse for all community members. This will be an opportunity to alleviate misinformation that has fed this conflict and begin the healing of our community.

This is a time of great opportunity and change for our community. It is the responsibility of each member to come with an open mind and heart in a desire to foster unity.

Continued communications regarding the meeting on Monday will be provided this weekend.
