FSC Canada releases an Interpretation of obtaining Agreements with Indigenous Communities in the National Boreal Standard

FSC Canada has issued an interpretation of Indicator 3.1.2 in the National Boreal Standard, regarding obtaining agreement with affected Indigenous communities. The interpretation provides guidance on potential ways to verify that the applicant is reaching agreement in circumstances where no formal agreement has been reached, in the spirit of establishing long term relationship, based on trust and a continuous improvement approach.
