OTTAWA, Dec. 6, 2016  – On the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, the Commissioners of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls hope that everyone takes a moment to consider the contributions of women to our world, our nations, our communities and our families.

A positive environment for women and girls will make a Canada a better place for everyone. We all hope our communities will be a nest where we can live healthy lives.
