Kenny Shields and Streetheart to Perform at Yorkton’s Painted Hand Casino During Farewell Tour

Press Release

February 10, 2017

Yorkton, Saskatchewan – Kenny Shields and Streetheart are coming to the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority’s Painted Hand Casino on April 22, 2017 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.

When one speaks of rock music and Western Canada in the same sentence, there is a good chance that Kenny Shields may be the subject of conversation. With the company of Paul Dean, Matt Frenette, Spider Sinnaeve and Daryl Gutheil, the five form the powerhouse band of the late 1970s and early 1980s – Streetheart.

Originally from Regina, Streetheart has topped the Canadian music charts with a string of hits such as: Action, Hollywood, Under My Thumb, Look in Your Eyes, What Kind of Love is This, One More Time and Snow White – all songs that remain standard on radio playlists today. The band earned a total of six gold albums, four platinum albums, one multi-platinum album, and a Juno. In 2003, Kenny Shields and Streetheart sealed their legacy when they were inducted into the Western Canadian Music Hall of Fame. After over 30 years of success, Kenny and Streetheart continue to entertain with a fierce energy that other bands would be hard-pressed to match.

Tickets go on sale February 17 for $35 each and can be purchased online at tickets.siga.sk.ca, by phone 306-786-6777, or at the casino. Players Club pre-sale begins February 14.
