The stretch includes Greens Road to Argyle Street, where the reopening time is unknown.
Ontario Provincial Police said Tuesday they are working to open Hwy. 6 in Caledonia after protestors relocated a blockade to the area on Labour Day.
Const. Rod LeClair said provincial police are working with other agencies to remove debris like tires and trees that were strewn across the road.
“I don’t really have a timeline at this point,” he said. “I know they’re trying to expedite and get it done quickly.”
Police responded to the area of the Hwy. 6 bypass, between Greens Road and Argyle Street, Monday night because there was debris blocking the roadway and “a group was gathering,” LeClair said.
