Team Nunavut participation opportunities

The Department of Community and Government Services’ Sport and Recreation Division is now accepting applications to join Team Nunavut for the 2023/2024 season and the 2024 Arctic Winter Games.

1.  Youth Ambassador Program – Are you a young leader between the ages of 16 and 21? Apply to be part of Team Nunavut’s Youth Ambassador Program, with the opportunity to take part in training programs, volunteer in their community, and potentially represent Nunavut the 2024 Arctic Winter Games.

2.  Team Nunavut Cultural Performers – Groups of cultural performers can apply to join Team Nunavut at the 2024 Arctic Winter Games! Groups must consist of three to six performers, along with an adult manager. Participants must be between the ages of 14 and 19 years of age as of December 31, 2023.

3.  Team Nunavut Mission Staff – Volunteer with Team Nunavut’s mission staff at the 2024 Arctic Winter Games! Applicants must be over the age of 25, an active member of the sport and recreation community, and interested in supporting Team Nunavut as they prepare for the 2024 Arctic Winter Games.

The deadline to apply for these three opportunities is September 11, 2023. Please contact srinfo@gov.nu.ca for an application package and eligibility requirements, indicating which opportunity you are enquiring about.

All travel opportunities to the 2024 Arctic Winter Games require a valid passport.
